New members
The meeting appointed
Gudrun Gutt as international ambassador for Intermag since she is widely represented within many
EBU-committees. Gudrun will make a presentation of Intermag
at the News Assembly in Amsterdam in November to attract new members.
EBU visit
Ray Colgan,
news editor at the EBU was invited to the meeting. He expressed EBU:s interest in sharing more feature stories up to 10 min.
Especially Eastern Europe could be interested because of financial problems.
He was happy to invite
Gudrun to make a presentation at the assembly.
Ray pointed out that the
EBU has a category called ”Look at this” which
contains feature stories. Asked about online-content, Ray admitted this was ”a slower boil”.
Slack
The meeting approved
Mateusz proposal of using Slack as a communication channel for the members.
Every member has got an initiation to the Slack group.
Intermag webbsite
Mateusz took on the task of
refreshing the website with a better presentation of the Intermag
exchange.
Elections
Ingrid Thornqvist
was elected as president of Intermag for one more
year.
Next meeting
The decision was postponed
until Gudrun has made her pitch at the EBU News assembly. If new members turn
up the annual meeting might adjust the location to attract them with the
screening session.
Screening session
Many wonderful stories were
shown and exchanged during the screening session.
Meeting closed
With a great thank you to
Gudrun and Julia from ORF for hosting us and arranging a very nice dinner and
lunch – and some wonderful homemade cakes.

Amendment:
Due to family reasons, I
could not attend the Vienna meeting this year, I´m sorry. For a year now I'm
retired after decades at Swedish Television, SVT. This makes me wonder if I
will or should continue as CC for Intermag. You all
have been very inspiring and a pleasure to meet all the times.
How to continue with Intermag CC work, I think you must give a thought.
With best regards
Allan, CC
