What is INTERMAG? INTERMAG is an international association of European news and current affairs magazines which exchanges items and programmes between its members - free of fees and rights. Its purpose is to achieve international co-operation through programme exchange. At the moment, INTERMAG comprises 13 programmes and spans 7 countries - all from public service broadcasters. The variety of topics, being exchanged via INTERMAG ranges from domestic and foreign affairs, politics, culture, life style to social and environmental issues. Among the over Among the over 200 items that are offered yearly, you can find any type: comprehensive reports and in-depth background stories as well as lively on-the-spot reports. All TV-items are produced in high quality by public service broadcasters. To access INTERMAG you pay a yearly subscription fee of 500 Euro per programme per year which covers all charges of administration. To join INTERMAG is to share in the advantages of this unique organisation. Being INTERMAG members, programme editors can quickly decide whether to include an item from another producer in their programme, saving time and production costs and increasing programme quality. How does INTERMAG work Offerings are sent via the e-mail directly from Members to Members by means of a form to be filled in with the essential data regarding the item. How is INTERMAG structured? The administration and day-to-day running of INTERMAG is carried out at the INTERMAG Coordination Centre located at SVT in Stockholm. The co-ordinator is Mr. Allan Tammik. The costs related to the CC are shared by the members. | |
